Introduction

  • Lead the Contractor in the Compression offshore facilities layout and Piping design to ensure a safe, efficient and reliable operation of the Onshore Assets in accordance with established policies, procedures, instructions and schedule targets.
  • Comprehensive understanding of both Greenfield and Brownfield piping engineering inclusive of offshore layout, Stress Analysis and Materials understanding all being essential for the position.

What are you going to do

  • Project schedule for both BF and GF are major challenges that require close coordination with Contractor to ensure project expectations with no compromise to quality, cost, schedule, and safety.
  • Layout - Safety Considerations: Ensure safety and compliance with Industry Standards when designing piping systems for offshore environments.
  • Layout - Team Collaboration: Ensure clear communication with cross-functional teams and stakeholders on a project to ensure alignment on project goals and successful outcomes.
  • Layout - GF/BF: Ensure clear understanding with requirements of a Greenfield layout to a Brownfield layout. Taking into consideration Operational fundamentals.
  • Layout - GF/BF: Understanding of 3D modelling and the roles it plays to help visualize the piping system and layout to ensure efficiency, clash free and practicality in addressing construction needs.
  • Materials: Addressing challenges like corrosion and material degradation in a piping layout.
  • Such as the selection of corrosion-resistant materials and incorporate protective coatings.
  • Materials: Understanding the materials selection process in a corrosive environment.
  • Taking into account specific chemicals and environmental conditions, including factors like temperature and humidity.
  • Materials: Cost-effectiveness when selecting materials for a piping system.
  • Balancing performance and material costs, material longevity, ease of fabrication, and maintenance costs.
  • Stress Analysis: Why Stress Analysis is important in piping design, safety and integrity.
  • Understanding of the required factors such as thermal expansion, dynamic loading, pressure, temperature for consideration in the analysis.
  • Stress Analysis: Understanding of stress analysis software, and the role in which it plays in order to help simulate and analyse the behaviour of piping systems under various loads, identifying weak points and optimizing the design.
