Introduction

  • Provide technical and discipline support for all instrumentation and control engineering activities related to Ethane recovery project through integrated FEED and phases ensuring that process designs, studies and engineering deliverables comply with approved industry standards, safety requirements and operational objectives throughout the project lifecycle.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide I&C engineering activities across assigned projects, ensuring all activities comply with approved project specifications, LNG standards, safety requirements and of I&C engineering design deliverables meet quality and design safety expectations.
  • Lead work execution, ensuring technical alignment and quality with various disciplines stakeholders from both PMT and contractors providing guidance and clear direction to complete I&C design per project specifications in a timely manner
  • Direct contractors to develop robust execution plans and schedules, reviewing progress data (narrative, charts, graphs), change management recommendations and recovery plans to address schedule delay risks and support monthly progress and stewardship reporting.
  • Support multi-discipline activities providing I&C expertise to other disciplines as necessary, in support of completing activities within schedule and making appropriate recommendations to management on I&C issues.
  • Lead the effort to provide technical interface between key vendors and EPC contractors to ensure alignment with quality and execution objectives and overall project delivery milestones.
  • Represent the I&C engineering in all major project assurance and reviews such as HAZOP, HAZID, SIL, SAFOP etc.
  • Prepares high-quality written documents to support FEED (NFW) and EXECUTE (NFS) activities and relevant PMS Gate reviews.
  • Prepare and deliver effective oral presentations to support the discipline Head and PMT in day-to-day project activities.
  • Support the Discipline Head in governing LNG discipline standards and technical assurance frameworks, ensuring effective implementation of standardization activities and compliance oversight of engineering resources across projects.
  • Approve and endorse I&C technical deviations, waivers, and variations to approved guidelines, codes, standards, and practices with delegated technical authority.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • 8 years' experience in Engineering roles, including 4 years in the oil & gas industry, and 1 years' experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor sub-contractors / service / vendor personnel.
  • Basic knowledge of Hexagon Smart Plant Instrumentation (SPI).
  • Experience in project development studies, FEED & Detailed engineering development. Experience in selection and handling various Field and Control Room Telecommunication equipment / packages including DCS / ESD / SCADA / F&G fibre optic and radio communications systems encountered in the oil & gas industry.
  • Experience in engineering coordination with various discipline engineers during FEED & Detailed engineering development and management of such contracts.
  • Experience in commissioning & startup and troubleshooting of Instrumentation Control and Telecommunication equipment encountered in oil & gas processing facilities.
  • Knowledge of international standards related to his area of expertise.
  • Advanced computer literacy involves the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
  • Knowledge and experience of the Document Control function and Information Management Processes.
