Introduction

Brunel International is seeking experienced Diesel Fitters with specialized Genset expertise to join our PNG team on a B2B basis. This opportunity is based at a mine site in Papua New Guinea, starting November 2026 for an initial 6-month contract.

What are you going to do 

As a Diesel Fitter / Power Generation Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and servicing diesel generator sets, specifically Cummins KTA50 and MTU 1600KW units. Your primary focus will be on the upkeep of 11 MTU units at the main Power Station as well as 5 satellite Cummins KTA50 units distributed around the site. The position operates on a B2B basis with an initial 6-month contract starting November 2026, following a roster of 4 weeks on and 4 weeks off.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Proven experience as a Diesel Fitter with hands-on expertise in power generation equipment
  • Extensive knowledge of Cummins KTA50 and MTU 1600KW genset units
  • Ability to perform maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel engines and generator sets
  • Willingness to work on-site at a remote mine location in Papua New Guinea
  • Availability for B2B contract starting November 2026 for an initial period of six months
  • Flexibility to work on a roster system (4 weeks on/ 4 weeks off)
  • Strong commitment to safety standards and operational procedures
