Introduction

On behalf of our client, a High Profile Service Provider to the Oil & Gas Energy sector, we are presently sourcing a Cost Controller to support and liaise with all functional teams. This will be a 12 month contract open to local residential candidate based in Darwin, NT.

What are you going to do 

  • Support all Functional Teams to understand cost drivers, validate forecasts and ensure expenditure is correctly captured and classified against budgets and cost structures
  • Prepare monthly cost and forecast reports, coordinating with stakeholders to ensure accuracy, completeness and timely submissions
  • Reconcile actual expenditure against budgets to support accurate, auditable reimbursable cost claims to the Client

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Proficient in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel (VBA), Power Point, Visio, Outlook and SharePoint
  • Preferred knowledge of ERP systems such as IFS, SAP, JD Edwards
  • Exceptional communication skills with multi-disciplinary teams and stakeholders
  • Collaborative workstyle and ability to build strong working relationships across all functions
  • Be proactive, adaptable with strong analysis and critical thinking skills
