Introduction
Brunel is currently searching for a Corporate Estimator for a long-term contract position with our mining client.
What are you going to do
The position will working remotely in the U.S. with occasional travel to engineering offices as needed. This will be responsible for complying with company corporate estimating procedures while developing and reviewing, and validating estimates.
Essential skills and knowledge
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree and 10 years of related experience or 14 years of experience if non-degreed.
- Familiarity with heavy civil and heavy industrial construction practices and benchmarks.
- Familiarity with "Blue Book" for reviewing and developing construction equipment rates.
- Familiarity with estimating software such as Hard Dollar, Cleopatra, RS Means, etc.
- Strong skillset in Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Power BI.
- Ability to communicate with all levels; management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors.
- Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines.
- Attention to detail and ability to work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner.
- Ability to work independently.
- Preferred understanding of AACE Estimating Requirements and stage gate approach to projects.
- MUST be eligible to work for any employer in the U.S. without the need for sponsorship.
- MUST be willing to travel as needed.
What we offer
Offer:
- This position a flat daily rate.
- Full-time contractors are eligible for benefits. Benefits include medical, dental and vision that will begin on your first day of employment. 401K matching - 50% match, up to 3%.
- Position includes accrued 3 days of PTO and accrued 5 sick days satisfying Arizona state law. No paid holidays.
- Position will be based on a 5 day work week, average working day is 10 hours.
