Introduction

On behalf of our client, a High-Profile Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing Contracts Manager to manage Contracting and Procurement activities for an assigned project. You will be responsible for applying contracting strategies, governance requirements and procurement processes while providing commercial support to achieve project objectives. This will be a 6 month contract, based in the Perth, CBD.

What are you going to do 

  • Oversee project contracting and procurement activities
  • Develop and implement contracting and procurement strategies
  • Manage tender processes including EOIs, RFQs, evaluations and negotiations
  • Manage contract lifecycle activities, including variations, claims and close-out
  • Monitor supplier performance ad contractual compliance
  • Provide commercial advice and support project decision-making
  • Review and endorse contracting and procurement processes
  • Support governance, assurance and audit readiness requirements
  • Build effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Coach and support team capability development
  • Identify opportunities for standardisation and cost optimisation
  • Support continuous improvement of contracting and procurement practices

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Experience managing Contracts and Procurement activities
  • Strong commercial and negotiation capabilities
  • Contract lifecycle management experience
  • Governance, risk and compliance knowledge
  • Stakeholder engagement and communication skills
  • Experience coaching and supporting team members
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Experience using contract management and procurement systems
