Introduction

Based in Newcastle, this is a dual Contract Administrator / Estimator position that will see you involved across both tendering and project delivery. Working closely with senior management and project teams, you will play a key role in securing work, managing project costs and supporting the successful delivery of civil and building projects.

What are you going to do 

  • Prepare competitive tenders, estimates and pricing submissions.
  • Review drawings, specifications and contract documentation.
  • Manage subcontractor and supplier pricing, procurement and negotiations.
  • Prepare and assess variations, progress claims and project forecasts.
  • Support project delivery teams with commercial and contractual matters.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Experience as a Contract Administrator, Estimator or a combined CA/Estimator role within construction
  • Strong understanding of contracts, procurement, cost control and tendering processes.
  • Ability to review technical drawings, specifications and scope documents.
  • Experience working on civil infrastructure, commercial building or industrial projects.
  • Strong commercial acumen and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
