Introduction

  • The Construction Superintendent Scaffolding shall provide the technical and construction expertise for Train 4&6 Project which involves contractor coordination and supervision to manage work fronts and ensure compliance with the approved construction sequence, project requirements, safety, quality, schedule and Company specifications.

What are you going to do 

  • Promote and uphold safety, health, environmental and worker welfare standards across all construction execution activities, embedding a strong safety culture and ensuring visible demonstration of safety leadership.
  • Coordinate and supervise scaffolding execution activities of the contractor and its subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project plans, interfaces, and reporting requirements of the Construction Area Manager.
  • Have a strong understanding of the values of permits to work and task specific mitigation planning for scaffold erect and teardowns.
  • Review and approve scaffolding methodologies, work packs, rental quantities, and site procedures.
  • Participate, as required, in the workshops which are related to the construction risk assessments and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure timely completion of milestones and project deliverables.
  • Review and report scaffolding progress, manpower deployment, and productivity metrics
  • Maintain effective communication with OPCO, contractors, and project teams.
  • Monitor site material handling, scaffolding and equipment inspections to support safe and efficient construction activities.
  • Monitor scaffold laydown procedures and area management to facilitate construction progress.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Diploma and discipline/trade specific vocational certification.
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Strong Job knowledge and technical proficiency.
  • Effective problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Delivers high-quality, accurate, and timely work.
  • Excellent communication and information- sharing skills
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and accountability
  • Builds effective relationships through teamwork and collaboration.
