Introduction

What are you going to do 

The Construction Structural Superintendent oversees and coordinates all construction activities related to Structural discipline, facilitating effective communication between various stakeholders, ensuring they are carried out in compliance with the project HSSE, Quality and schedule requirements.

The incumbent will oversee contractor performance, coordinate multidisciplinary interfaces, and provide field leadership throughout fabrication, erection, outfitting, integration, pre-commissioning, and offshore readiness activities.

Responsibilities

  • You are responsible for ensuring that all construction & commissioning activities of your discipline are carried out according to the approved plans, specifications and project schedule, in compliance with HSSE & Quality regulations and standards.
  • You coordinate and supervise the daily operations of your discipline at site, including workforce management, material handing, and equipment usage.
  • You monitor progress against the project timeline and take corrective actions when necessary to maintain the schedule.
  • You implement and enforce HSSE protocols and procedures ensure that all construction activities comply with company HSSE regulations and standards.
  • You lead the site inspections, tests, and verifications of your discipline's scope.
  • You manage and implement any changes to your discipline's plan or scope of work that may arise during the project lifecycle.
  • You maintain accurate and timely records of discipline activities, including progress reports, HSSE records and quality control data.
  • You manage and mentor construction supervisors and team members to uphold high standards of work.
  • Supervise all structural fabrication and assembly activities within the shipyard and module fabrication facilities.
  • Coordinate structural construction execution in accordance with approved schedules and work packs.
  • Monitor productivity and construction progress against project milestones.
  • Ensure structural works are completed in compliance with approved drawings, specifications, and procedures.
  • Lead daily construction coordination meetings with contractors and subcontractors.
  • Identify construction constraints and implement recovery plans to maintain schedule commitments.
  • Interface closely with Construction Manager, Engineering, Quality, Planning, and Commissioning teams.

Requirements

  • Minimum 15 years of offshore oil & gas construction experience.
  • Minimum 10 years in FPSO, offshore platform, shipyard, or major module construction projects.
  • Minimum 5 years in a Superintendent or Senior Supervisor role.
