  • Verify coating mixing, application, curing, drying time, re-coating intervals, pot life, and other requirements in accordance with approved procedures and manufacturer recommendations.
  • Inspect completed coating surfaces and identify defects such as runs, sags, pinholes, holidays, blistering, cracking, peeling, poor adhesion, insufficient coverage, excessive coating thickness, contamination, and other deficiencies.
  • Verify insulation materials and installation against approved drawings, specifications, procedures, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Inspect insulation thickness, fit, alignment, joints, seams, overlaps, terminations, supports, fasteners, cladding, jacketing, sealing, and weatherproofing arrangements.
  • Ensure insulation installation does not interfere with equipment operation, maintenance access, valves, instruments, drains, vents, supports, or other project requirements.
  • Identify and report any defects, non-conformances, or quality issues found during coating and insulation inspections.
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and inspection observations where required and follow up to ensure that appropriate corrective actions are implemented.
  • Re-inspect repaired or corrected work and verify that corrective actions comply with project specifications and quality requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all inspections, test results, material certificates, inspection requests, quality observations, and NCRs.
  • Prepare inspection reports and provide regular updates on inspection status, progress, outstanding issues, and recommendations to the Project / Area Construction Quality Manager.
