What are you going to do 

About the RoleThe Construction Project Manager will support the EPC Project Manager or Program Manager in overseeing day-to-day operations from project kickoff through completion and warranty periods. You'll manage construction project safety, contracts, subcontractors, suppliers, proposals, estimates, documentation turnover, client relations, and field staff across Construction Management, Construction, and Program Management projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day construction activities and the successful execution of single or multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Promote and manage the safety and health performance of project teams and subcontractors, adhering to company safety programs, trainings, and policies.
  • Provide direction and participate in project planning, scheduling, estimating, cost development, and establishing critical project objectives.
  • Develop and manage client relationships, interfacing on proposals and project-related items.
  • Negotiate prime contracts, CM contracts, subcontracts, and change orders.
  • Participate in internal and external project risk reviews, consulting with Legal as required.
  • Implement assigned sections of the Project Execution Plan, including construction execution, QA, safety and health, staffing, organization charts, and procurement.
  • Develop construction staffing plans, train project teams, and coordinate activities across multiple global practices and disciplines.
  • Oversee site layout development, mobilization and demobilization, and support implementation.
  • Verify all project permits are secured per project requirements.
  • Direct and oversee the downstream RFP and bid process, preparing detailed scope of work documents for subcontracts (including bidder development, prequalification, evaluation, award recommendation, and selection).
  • Review, approve, and communicate internal and external reports including project budgeting, cash flow forecasts, and status reports.
  • Collaborate with engineering to establish development and distribution of engineering deliverables per project schedule.
  • Develop processes and manage downstream contract administration including RFIs, submittals, change management documentation, and claims mitigation.
  • Oversee Prime Contract, subcontractor, and client contractor invoicing.

Essential skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, plus 7 years of relevant project management experience in the construction industry. Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.
  • Excellent computer skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Access).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and strong organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle large volumes of work and multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
  • A basic understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
  • Must meet the company's driving requirements.
  • Drug screening required.

  • Experience with document control, scheduling, cost control, and project management software.
  • Multiple years of experience on construction project sites or executing program management in industries such as aviation, commercial, energy, government, manufacturing, oil & gas, process, transportation, transmission & distribution, or water.
