What are you going to do 

  • Oversees all site execution by planning, managing, coordinating construction execution strategy, preservation, and day to day activities;
  • Provide overall technical direction the construction;
  • Coordinates project execution and planning with the relevant parties, departments, and agencies;
  • Responsible for the formulation of construction delivery schedule; upon the execution of the project, responsible for the constant review of the timeline and re-arrange and deploy resources and manpower, where needed, to meet targeted schedule;
  • Manage any conflicts between the various parties;
  • Manage and execute the site works and plans at the yard and ensure that the technicalities of construction requirements and standards are adhered to;
  • Coordinates all project installation engineering between designs/engineering, material procurement, load out design and transportation of line pipe and offshore installation activities;
  • Responsible for the successful delivery of yard project scope within specified quality standards, time, and budget;
  • Work closely with the Site Manager by any means of communication on the status of work packages, oversees coordination of material management and mobilizations and demobilizations of subcontractor companies;
  • Follow up on issues of Purchase Requests for materials and/or equipment related to the Project;
  • Scheduling and Cost Management by ensuring construction & installation progress on schedule and within prescribed budget;
  • Undertake the lead role in managing and monitoring the assigned site fabricator in ensuring that its resources, compliance, deliverables are executed according to the contractual scope;
  • Identify elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims;
  • Understands interface issues e;g; procurement, construction, commissioning & pre-operations and actively manages them;
  • Communicates possible changes in the scope of work to project manager (applicable to contractor companies or client);
  • Managing various trade contractor performances regarding safety, quality, budget, production and preservation;
  • Develop relationships with client technical or service personnel;
  • Comply and implement HSEQ Policy and requirements to the yard sites, including but not limited to, ensuring HSEQ requirements are communicated, training and competency for HSEQ critical roles, effective workplace hazard management, incident reporting and investigation, and emergency response;
  • Organize, direct, and supervise contractors to ensure construction & installation procedure strictly follow drawing & relevant regulation requirement and equipment vendor’s specification.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in engineering or construction with 10 years of work experience in EPC of onshore/offshore Oil & Gas or FPSO projects;
  • Strong working knowledge of marine construction and/or topsides modules structure/piping construction and preservation;
  • Strong working knowledge of contractual documentation (contracts, waivers, addendums, annexes, scope changes, contractual schedule etc) and ensures planning and execution complies with contractual requirements;
  • Track Record in Site Construction Execution;
  • Basic understanding of construction management, project management, construction methodology principles, quality assurance and HSSE requirements;
  • Demonstrate interpersonal skills with effectiveness across functional, racial and national boundaries;
  • Strong oral and written communication skills in to guide and communicate information to multinational personnel and different levels of work force and a large variety of vendors and fabricators;
  • Logical/MECE thinker and good presentation skill using visual aid of MS power point.
