Introduction

We're seeking a Communications Specialist I to work with a major Oil & Gas company located in Midland, TX on a 12-month contract.

What are you going to do 

  • The organization is seeking a qualified candidate who is eager and capable of assisting with visual internal communications. This candidate should have experience with Non-Linear Editing (NLD systems, strong written and verbal skills, and enjoy visual creative projects. Through this role, the individual will gain skills to further their own knowledge in applying creative communications across a major organization, and in real-time.
  • Work alongside the Permian Business Unit team to shoot and edit digital communications.
  • Collaborate with the Creative Director and Communications team to ensure all projects are aligned with Uncon BL efforts.
  • Solicit comments and edits from project stakeholders
  • Aid in circulating projects for review/approval
  • Organize and manage content into the master video server in Houston
  • Keyword and organize photo libraries
  • Respond to requests when other departments/organization need media from archives.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Expert skill level in Non-Linear Editing Software: Final Cut Pro or Adobe's Premiere
  • Strong visual communication and editing skills.
  • Ability to shoot videos and edit video content.
  • Ability to move projects on a schedule and meet deadlines.
  • Experience working on translating highly technical content into digestible communications for broad audiences preferred.
  • Previous experience in oil & gas desirable.
