What are you going to do 

We are partnering with our client, a respected organization in the oil and gas sector, to appoint a Commissioning Manager on a contract basis. In this pivotal role, you will be at the heart of major projects, ensuring systems and equipment are installed, tested, and commissioned in line with project specifications and industry standards. You will collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and stakeholders, playing a key role in driving successful outcomes and strengthening our client's position in the market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • As a Commissioning Manager, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all commissioning activities for oil and gas projects.
  • Your primary objective will be to ensure that all systems and equipment are installed, tested, and commissioned according to project specifications and industry standards.
  • You will lead multidisciplinary teams, manage schedules, and collaborate closely with engineering, operations, and clients to deliver successful project outcomes.
  • Developing detailed commissioning plans and procedures.
  • Leading and supervising commissioning teams on site.
  • Coordinating with engineering, procurement, and construction teams.
  • Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
  • Monitoring progress and reporting to project management and clients.
  • Troubleshooting technical issues during commissioning phases.
  • Managing resources and budgets related to commissioning activities.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in commissioning within the Oil and Gas sector.
  • Proven leadership skills in managing commissioning teams and complex projects.
  • Strong knowledge of commissioning processes, standards, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with health, safety, and environmental regulations specific to Oil and Gas.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel and work at remote project sites.
  • Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
