Brunel has an exciting opportunity for a Commissioning Manager (Contract) with our client who is a leading mining company in Arizona.

This contract position will work in Santiago Chile and at site in El Abra, Chile, working a rotational schedule. Travel accommodations, housing, transportation included.

What are you going to do 

  • Manage large multiple projects in parallel in the 5M to 800M range which would include international projects.
  • Responsible for direction, planning and management of the commissioning phase of capital projects, beginning in the early phases of project definition with project execution planning, phasing, and scheduling, and continuing throughout the erection and commissioning phases of multiple projects.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor 's degree in engineering or related field or equivalent in training and/or field experience and a minimum of 10 years' experience in the field OR High School diploma or GED and a minimum of 15 years progressive experience in the field.
  • Full fluency in Spanish
  • Availability for frequent travel, international assignments, and relocation to the site of work
  • Leadership ability and strong management skill
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a high paced project environment
  • Construction experience with an ability to maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions in a construction environment.
  • Experience with mining construction projects
