What are you going to do 

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our client’s team as a Commercial Project Management Specialist. This role is integral to ensuring strong financial governance, effective project execution, and overall commercial success across projects. You will collaborate closely with Project Managers and cross-functional teams to drive financial performance, manage risks and opportunities, and support strategic business outcomes in a dynamic, multicultural environment.

Your responsibilities

  • Ensures the accuracy of project books and records, including recording of such in the appropriate systems, e.g. SAP - ensures compliance with FRG plus the local GAAP requirements.
  • Ensure all related Project Reporting and Controlling activities are performed accordingly.
  • Supports the Project Manager (PM) that the financial results according to set targets are managed with due professional care and optimizes the project’s gross profit, cash flow and assets and financing instruments.
  • To support the PM in identifying, evaluating and assessing risk and opportunities, strategies and response activities – taking over the full responsibility in this regard with respect to all commercial risks and opportunities.
  • Contributing to and implementing business plans, including financial management and strategic review of the business.
  • To assist, clarify, elaborate and optimize all relevant commercial issues, such as analyzing and commenting on contracts, including legal aspects, determining the business model (NCM, consortium, subcontractor, split contract), preparation of relevant documents, tax concept, insurance, currency issues, compliance, ECC, cash flow, review of NDA/ MoU etc.
  • As part of the offer process, reviewing request for quotation, working with operations/bid team to review costing and ensuring lessons learned is implemented, developing commercial scope that brings higher OEM value add and where necessary negotiating contracts/offers

Your profile

  • Degree in Business / Finance / Accounting.
  • At least 6-7 years of working experience with at least 3/4 years’ experience as a Commercial Project Management or Project controlling.
  • Proficiency with standard accounting principles.
  • Professional English required, where additional Asian languages will be a benefit.
  • Strong competence in using IT Tools including Microsoft, SAP, and Salesforce applications.
  • Experience working with international stakeholders across multiple countries, with the ability to navigate differing expectations and communication styles in a multicultural project environment.
  • Understands cultural differences and copes with them effectively.
  • Positive attitude to work in challenging environments and in embracing high performance culture.
  • Strong collaboration skills, as well as strong communication skills with both internal and external stakeholders, at various organizational levels.
  • Experience in contract negotiation/ execution is required.
