Introduction

  • Provide technical expertise in onshore structure and infrastructure aligned with department objectives in meeting Company strategy.

What are you going to do 

  • Prepare Conceptual Study, Design Basis, and civil/structural/infrastructure design as per Specifications and International Codes such as BS, API, AISC, AWS, OCIMF, PIANC, ISGOTT, ASCE, ACI, AISC, AASHTO, USACE, UBC and Qatar National Construction Standards.
  • Provide technical expertise support to all company Assets (Operations) identifying the timely solution of structural engineering to ensure Asset Integrity and Reliability sustaining Safe and Continuous Plant Environment.
  • Provide civil/structural engineering technical support to maintenance and throughout Project Life Cycle (Pre-FEED/FEED/Detail Design stages) ensuring Quality and Flawless execution.
  • Perform Economic/Financial Evaluation of all Feasibility Studies and Opportunities.
  • Develop Concept Packages and civil/structural engineering detailed drawings as per Company Project Management Systems.
  • Perform all the necessary complex/high level analysis as per the applicable specification or codes along with computer analysis software e.g. STAAD for onshore and SACS (or equivalent) for offshore.
  • Provide civil/structural SME technical support in all sessions of RCFA, RHAZOP, RA, Lifting, Excavation Certificate, Inspection Program, etc.
  • Liaise with consultants or shareholders, represent to external agencies and conduct technical presentations.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in civil/structural engineering.
  • 4 years' engineering experience in an oil and gas environment.
  • Fluent in English language (demonstrated verbal and written skills).
  • Computer literate, and competent with a variety of engineering software tools.
