Introduction

  • Manage and integrate business support to Technical on aspects including but not limited to reporting, risk management, lessons learned, issues management, governance, and compliance, LNG Project Management System, and project manpower support to enable the execution of the project's technical work stay on schedule and budget and achieve its strategic outcomes.

What are you going to do 

  • Manage all business aspects including risks management, lessons learned, issues management, reporting and recruitment to contribute to the project delivering its objectives on time, within budget and to the required quality standards.
  • Provide the required level of delegation and autonomy to the section heads, including for their day-to-day coordination, while ensuring the department works as a team and provides all the necessary support to the Project Manager, Functional Division Managers and Senior Project Manager.
  • Manage reporting within and outside the Project Management team, as support to the Business Manager and Senior Project Manager.
  • Ensure a controlled but open flow of information within the Project Management team and with the stakeholders, in compliance with project procedures for reporting and confidentiality of information.
  • Review and manage the preparation and finalization of all reports, presentation, notes, and approval documents in support of all Technical governance requirements.
  • Participate in regular workshops regarding the with the team and the other projects.
  • Manage overall compliance with gate requirements through project execution with the aim of the project remaining on track and on budget and meeting quality expectations and eliminating rework and regulatory penalties.
  • Manage the risks management effort through the contract execution phase and maintain a clear, concise, and regularly updated risks register, as input to the Technical risks register.
  • Provide reporting of risk management in accordance with LNG requirements.
  • Support organizational functions and services, including recruiting, facilities, and support services for project personnel as required, and interfacing with Contractor and internal LNG organizations related to recruiting and human capital to ensure project is sufficient staff with right skills, enabling uninterrupted project execution and seamless coordination between stakeholders.
  • Develop and maintain organization charts for the team in compliance with LNG requirements.
  • Oversee the integrity and enhancement of processes IT systems and competency assurance processes, leading efforts in supporting business team to enable processes efficiencies.
  • Analyze work plans and initiate discussions with project teams and assist in the development of mitigation plans to resolve issues and provide feedback to management team members as required.
  • Monitor procedural compliance within the division, supporting and monitoring project teams during internal and external audits.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Commercial, Marketing, Sciences, Engineering, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, Law, Communication, Technologies, Mathematics, and Statistics
  • 15 years experience in business related function or discipline, including 12 years in the Oil & Gas Industry, and including 5 years experience in a supervisory or acting role, or oversight of contractor/subcontractors/service/vendor personnel.
  • Extensive experience with Oil & Gas Companies, EPC contractors, subcontractors, vendors, or service companies involved in the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge in project business related function/discipline such as planning, scheduling, cost control, estimating, claim management, risk management, change management, procurement, pre- and post award contract management, actionable and informative reporting, support services, lessons learned, etc.
  • Extensive knowledge in international standards, best practices and methodologies as it relates to business disciplines
  • Broad experience and demonstrated competence in managing a business function and disciplines, including contractors, cost and tenders.
  • Experience working in large-scale integrated operating organizations in Operations, Projects, Subsurface, etc.
