Introduction

  • This position is for An Arabic/English Translator with experience gained in a power & water projects contracting environment.

What are you going to do 

  • Responsible for ensuring effective drafting and translation of legal documentation such as contracts, agreements, and related documents, in preferred language (i.e., Arabic and English).
  • Draft letters and translate documents addressed to government authorities, contractors, and suppliers.
  • Review the Arabic and English translation for the legal documents utilized by COMPANY’s management.
  • Review translation for all official legal correspondence related to contracts and agreements.
  • Read written material such as legal documents and rewrites material into specified languages (Arabic and English).
  • Identify and resolve conflicts related to the meanings of words, concepts, or practices.
  • Check translations of technical and legal terms and terminology to ensure that they are accurate and remain consistent throughout translation revisions.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in a Language (Arabic-English) course with certification in legal translation, and with more than five (5) years’ experience in a legal translation role.
  • Strong English and Arabic Language skills (written and spoken)
  • Proficient in the use of Computers and computer applications (word processing).
