Looking for a FIFO role with great rates and roster flexibility? We are seeking experienced All Round Operators with strong production mining backgrounds to operate haul trucks and ancillary equipment across a modern mining fleet. What are you going to do 

  • Operating production haul trucks and ancillary equipment safely and efficiently
  • Conducting pre-start inspections and reporting defects
  • Achieving fleet cycle times and production targets
  • Following mine plans, radio communications and dispatch instructions
  • Maintaining high housekeeping and safety standards
  • Working collaboratively with operations and maintenance teams
  • Completing operational reporting and documentation as required
  • Participating in toolbox meetings and site safety initiatives

To be considered, you must have demonstrated experience in an open pit mining environment and be fully competent operating production dump trucks along with ancillary equipment. Candidates must be able to operate dump trucks and either a Level 1 ancillary machine (rock breaker, small loader or roller) or a Level 2 ancillary machine (grader, dozer, batter excavator, production loader or dispatch operations).

Experience operating equipment such as CAT 785C, CAT 785D, CAT 789D and CAT 793F haul trucks will be highly regarded, along with experience on graders, dozers, loaders, excavators, rollers and rock breakers.

While this advertisement is focused on All Round Operators, we are keen to speak with experienced operators with skills across haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, excavators and other ancillary equipment, as additional vacancies may be available to suit your experience.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Experience operating CAT haul truck fleets, including 785, 789 and 793 models
  • You will be fully competent operating production dump trucks and have experience on ancillary equipment such as graders, dozers, loaders, rollers, rock breakers, batter excavators or dispatch operations.
  • Full Australian working rights
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence
  • Current National Police Clearance (within 3 months)
  • Current Drug & Alcohol Screen (within 3 months)
  • Current Pre-Employment Medical (within 12 months)
  • Relevant machinery competencies, VOCs and/or qualifications
  • Previous open pit mining experience
