Introduction

Brunel PNG is seeking an experienced Supply Superintendent to lead site supply chain operations for one of our key projects. This role is central to ensuring materials, equipment, and logistics are delivered safely, efficiently, and in alignment with operational requirements.

What are you going to do 

Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Supply Superintendent oversees the full supply chain function - including inventory management, warehouse operations, logistics, purchasing, and reporting. You will lead a capable team and ensure the delivery of reliable, cost effective supply solutions that support production and maintenance activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach the Supply team to deliver high warehouse service levels and accurate inventory control
  • Optimise inventory turnover, minimise stockouts, and eliminate unnecessary or obsolete materials
  • Oversee warehouse operations, stock movement accuracy, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Work closely with Maintenance to ensure availability of critical parts for planned work
  • Manage 3PL providers, freight planning, container optimisation, and vessel/transport scheduling
  • Monitor and mitigate security risks, including theft prevention and compliance
  • Provide timely dashboards and reporting on inventory, warehouse performance, freight, and costs
  • Contribute to opex/capex forecasting and conduct variance analysis
  • Champion safety, compliance, and strong operational discipline across the Supply team

Essential skills and knowledge

What We're Looking For

  • Significant experience in inventory management, logistics, warehouse operations, and tactical purchasing
  • Strong understanding of inventory optimisation, warehouse service levels, and supply chain performance
  • Experience using ERP systems (Pronto highly regarded)
  • Proven ability to analyse data, identify root causes, and implement improvements
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and team development capability
  • Ability to balance service, cost, and risk in decision making
  • Commitment to safety and operational excellence
