Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor Degree in Safety, Marine Engineering/Science/LPE or related subject with Industrial safety certification from a Professional body (NEBOSH) either Nebosh National/ International Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety, or higher (BSc., PgCert, pgDip, MSc.)
- 10 years varied experience in safety operations within the oil and gas industry including Offshore/Subsea Pipe line Installation /Diving Operations working knowledge.
- Minimum of 05 years experience in a supervisory capacity of health & safety management & Specific experience in managing EPCI type contract & and have good understanding of O&G safe work practices.
- Knowledge and proficiency in HSE Regulations and Best practices (OSHA, ISO 14001, OHSAS 18001, SOLAS IMCA requirements i.e Diving & Lifting )
- Taproot© Root Cause Analysis or internationally recognized equivalent
- OPITO BOSIET or T-HUET and Offshore Sea Survival
- Knowledge of Offshore Requirements for Lifting Operations
- H2S awareness & mitigation plan implementation on Live Facilities
- Knowledge of International Oil & Gas Producers Reports (IOGP)
- Behavioural Based /IIF Safety program
- Proficient in written and spoken English.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook e-mail systems.
- Computer literacy, including the use of spreadsheets, databases.
- Ability to communicate effectively with internal/external clients.
- Good adaptability to multinational environment, with wide exposure to various cultures and customs.
