Introduction

We are seeking an experienced Subsea Engineer to support subsea transport and installation activities on a major offshore project. The role includes technical coordination, engineering review, and offshore campaign support on installation vessels.

What are you going to do 

  • Provide engineering support for subsea transport and installation (T&I) scopes during offshore construction campaigns.
  • Review contractor deliverables including installation procedures, lift plans, sea fastening, and deployment analysis.
  • Coordinate technical interfaces between installation contractors, suppliers, vessel teams, and project delivery teams.
  • Ensure contractor activities comply with approved engineering, project specifications, and HSE requirements.
  • Support resolution of technical queries and engineering issues during planning and offshore execution.
  • Participate in technical reviews, planning meetings, and offshore readiness activities.
  • Supervise subsea installation activities onboard offshore construction vessels.
  • Attend daily offshore coordination meetings and support installation planning.
  • Provide installation progress updates and reporting to the project team.
  • Manage technical interfaces between contractors, vessel teams, and Marine Warranty Surveyor (MWS) representatives.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Experience working on offshore subsea or offshore construction projects.
  • Experience working onboard offshore installation or construction vessels highly regarded.
  • Knowledge of subsea transport and installation (T&I) operations preferred.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain BOSIET, MSIC, and offshore medical certification.
  • Full Australian working rights required.
