Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Advanced coursework in metallurgy is a plus.
- Minimum of 15 years of specialized experience in OCTG design, manufacturing, inspection, and field application.
- Proven expertise in casing/tubing string design, premium connection performance, and mill/manufacturer technical interface.
- Demonstrated knowledge of API and ISO standards, tubular engineering practices, and quality assurance programs.
- Strong command of OCTG design principles, stress analysis, and string load-case evaluation.
- Familiar with casing/tubing design tools and inspection protocols.
- Deep understanding of steel grades, heat treatment processes, and tubular QA/QC practices.
- Experience with product deviation reviews, manufacturing documentation, and preservation and marking compliance.
- Experience working with E&P operators, OCTG manufacturers, or tubular service companies.
- Exposure to offshore, sour service, or high-pressure/high-temperature (HPHT) well environments.
