Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University in Urban Planning or Architecture Planning.
- Recognized Professional Qualifications are preferred.
- Local and/or regional experience is preferred.
- Minimum 10 years professional experience, with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior team-leading multi-project municipal setting including urban planning, design, and coordination with government agencies.
- Good knowledge of the principles, theories and practices of urban/industrial planning and knowledge of related International Codes and Standards.
- Good working knowledge of MS Office applications along with knowledge of GIS
- Software (ArcView and ArcInfo) and AutoCAD.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
- Strong report preparation, presentation and communication skills and fluency in spoken and written English. Ability to communicate in Arabic is an advantage.
