Introduction

On behalf of our client, a World Leader within the Energy / Oil & Gas industry, Brunel has an exciting 12 month contract for a Senior Document Controller, initially to be based in Perth then you will transition offshore on a FIFO 3:3 roster, 12 hours per day.

What are you going to do 

You will be responsible for the control of As-Building the Engineering documentation for completed Offshore Workpacks in accordance with OILS procedure.
An insight into your responsibilities will include:

  • Scheduling the As-Building workscope in line with the Offshore Construction P6. This will ensure that the documents are updated and issued within the timing requirement of both the project and OILS
  • Liaising with the Engineering Manager to ensure that there are sufficient engineering resources to provide the As-Building of the native document Parent documents
  • Ensuring that the Red-lined documents prepared by the Offshore Construction Team are both clear and legible so that the Engineers/Designers are able to easily update the Parent documents
  • Liaise with the Construction Team in assisting with the red-line markup clarity and quality to ensure that the onshore design team clearly understands the changes to the drawing required
  • Teamwork is critical to the success of this role, as you will need to integrate into the HUC Team as well as having a close working relationship with both the Onshore Engineering Team, as well as the Onshore Documentation Management team

Essential skills and knowledge

Requirements

  • Extensive experience in Document Control
  • A strong knowledge and experience in documentation management and As-Building of construction drawings is a pre-requisite
  • Confident communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to plan and forecast
