Essential skills and knowledge
- Mechanical/Metallurgical/Materials or equivalent Engineering degree, technical diploma and/or 15+ years' experience in quality Control in multi-disciplined construction environment. Preferably having formal training in QC and membership with internationally recognized chartered or other professional institution
- BGAS Grade 2 / NACE Level 2 Painting Inspector certification or other equivalent is a must
- Preferably CSWIP 3.2 / AWS-SCWI Sr. Welding Inspector and ASNT NDT Level II Certification
- Other equivalent certifications from internationally recognized organizations can be reviewed and maybe accepted
- Minimum 10 years of experience for Bachelor's degree holders or 15 years for Diploma holders in QA/QC inspection experience in painting, coating, corrosion protection, and preservation activities within Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or Industrial construction projects.
- GCC experience is preferred
- Hands-on experience in inspection of protective coating systems for piping, tanks, structural steel, static equipment, and rotating equipment
- Familiarity with international coating standards and inspection requirements, including NACE/AMPP, SSPC, ISO, ASTM, and project specifications (i.e. Shell DEPs)
- Ability to work effectively with contractors, inspectors, and project stakeholders in a multidisciplinary and multicultural environment
