What are you going to do 

Our client is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to manage their manufacturing operations in Fujairah, United Arab Emirates. This is a permanent opportunity to join a forward-thinking team dedicated to operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shift Management: Oversee the end-to-end production process on Line to ensure standard operating procedures (SOPs) are followed.
  • Planning & Execution: Implement the production schedule provided by the Production Coordinator and adjust daily tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Technical Oversight: Monitor machine parameters to ensure optimal Rockwool fiber quality.
  • Staff Coordination: Manage shift rotations, attendance, and performance of all floor staff. Resolve any immediate personnel issues or conflicts.
  • Safety Enforcement: Conduct "Toolbox Talks" and ensure all staff are wearing proper PPE. Execute LOTO procedures during emergencies or planned stops.
  • Inter-departmental Liaison: Coordinate with Quality Control (QC) for product testing and with Maintenance for any mechanical or electrical failures.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify bottlenecks in the production line and suggest improvements to the Production Coordinator to increase efficiency.
  • Inventory Control: Monitor the stock levels of raw materials and packaging on the floor to prevent production halts.
  • Factory floor environment. Requires constant movement across the plant to monitor different sections of the production line.
  • Rotating shift work (Day/Night) including weekends and public holidays as per the requirements.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering (or a related technical field).
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing plant, with at least 3 years in a supervisory capacity (preferably in Rockwool or glass wool).
  • Strong understanding of PLC-controlled machinery, furnaces, and industrial manufacturing workflows.
  • Proven ability to manage a large, multicultural workforce and drive team performance.
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to make high-pressure decisions regarding production stops.
  • Excellent communication in English (verbal and written). Knowledge of Hindi or Urdu is a strong advantage for staff management.
  • IT Skills: Proficiency in MS Office and ERP systems (for production reporting).
