Introduction

On behalf of our client, a High-Profile Tier 1 Mining Company, Brunel is presently sourcing a Procurement Specialist to support procurement activities within a closure Procurement Team. Reporting to the Procurement Business Partner, this role will work closely with Engineers, Area Managers and other stakeholders to support sourcing, contract formation and procurement delivery.

What are you going to do 

  • Coordinate sourcing activities including RFQ/RFP development, issuance and management
  • Support scope development, supplier engagement, supplier briefings and bid clarification activities
  • Evaluate commercial proposals and support tender assessment processes in line with procurement policy
  • Contribute to contract negotiations and commercial discussions
  • Prepare and execute contract documentation
  • Maintain accurate contract records and documentation
  • Build effective relationships with suppliers and stakeholders
  • Collaborate with internal teams to support the execution of procurement plans

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Law or a related discipline
  • Extensive previous experience in Procurement
  • Broad experience across sourcing and contract administration
  • Strong negotiation and dispute resolution skills
  • Ability to effectively manage and engage a diverse range of stakeholders
  • Ariba expertise is pivotal to the role, accompanied with SAP exposure
  • Experience working in mining, resources, remote or industrial project environments is desirable
