What are you going to do 

  • We are looking for an experienced PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer, ideally with a background in high-volume manufacturing environments. Experience within the automotive industry would be a strong advantage.
  • Support maintenance technicians and electrical engineers in ensuring the reliability and availability of production equipment.
  • Act as the main technical expert for troubleshooting complex automation and control system issues.
  • Manage PLC software backups and support the standardization of automation and electrical solutions across production lines.
  • Modify and optimize control system functions in line with improvement and action plans.
  • Work closely with Process Engineers to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production line operation.
  • Analyze root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Proven experience with PLC programming, including:
    • Siemens S7 family
    • TIA Portal
    • STEP 7
    • WinCC Flexible
    • Graph Programming
  • Experience with Siemens Simatic control systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial communication and automation systems.
  • Experience with machine vision systems such as Cognex or Keyence is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive production environments.
  • English language skills at B1 level or higher.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
