What are you going to do
- We are looking for an experienced PLC Programmer / Automation Engineer, ideally with a background in high-volume manufacturing environments. Experience within the automotive industry would be a strong advantage.
- Support maintenance technicians and electrical engineers in ensuring the reliability and availability of production equipment.
- Act as the main technical expert for troubleshooting complex automation and control system issues.
- Manage PLC software backups and support the standardization of automation and electrical solutions across production lines.
- Modify and optimize control system functions in line with improvement and action plans.
- Work closely with Process Engineers to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production line operation.
- Analyze root causes of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in continuous improvement and process optimization initiatives.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Proven experience with PLC programming, including:
- Siemens S7 family
- TIA Portal
- STEP 7
- WinCC Flexible
- Graph Programming
- Experience with Siemens Simatic control systems.
- Knowledge of industrial communication and automation systems.
- Experience with machine vision systems such as Cognex or Keyence is an advantage.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in manufacturing, preferably automotive production environments.
- English language skills at B1 level or higher.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
