Introduction

Carry out visual inspection of paint, insulation, fireproofing of plant equipment, piping, tanks, structure etc. to detect visible signs of paint damage, deterioration, and corrosion. Establish the level of damage, degradation, and requirement of repairs.

What are you going to do

Establish the level of degradation of paint work and requirement of repainting.
Prepare comprehensive ITP for QA/QC of new paint and repair painting application.
Carry out QA/QC compliance inspection in accordance with approved ITP.
Witness painting procure qualification and painting applicator qualifications.
Evaluate performance of paint and application procedures proposed by vendors.
Generate anomaly report, prepare necessary repair/rectification inspection work list for painting / coating repair.
Prepare detailed inspection and survey report of paint, insulation, fireproofing of plant equipment, piping, tanks, and structure.

Diploma/Degree in Engineering in relevant field.
Paint /Coating Inspectors shall have at least five (5) years of current work experience as a paint/ coating inspector in a live plant or project environment
Valid NACE /BGAS 2 Certification.
Inspectors shall be fully conversant with relevant codes and standards (ASTM / BS / NACE / SSPC) pertaining to surface preparation, application of paint and coating and the QA/QC thereof.
Skilled in use of CIMS and MS-Office software
Must demonstrate good communication skill in English.
