Introduction

Lead safe and efficient field operations across a major WA oil asset as the onsite Control of Work (CoW) specialist. Responsible for PTW oversight, contractor supervision, operational assurance, well operations support and work execution planning. Acting as the key link between site and Perth-based teams, you'll drive Operational Excellence, compliance, workforce coordination and continuous improvement across field operations.

What are you going to do 

  • Act as the onsite SME for Control of Work (CoW), Permit to Work (PTW) and Well Lease Control processes.
  • Review and approve high-risk permits while ensuring compliance with operational procedures.
  • Conduct CoW assurance reviews, field safeguards and contractor operational audits.
  • Supervise and coordinate contractor operators, maintainers and operations personnel.
  • Support production, well operations and decommissioning activities.
  • Review site priorities, schedules and work execution plans to ensure safe and efficient delivery.
  • Participate in work planning, scheduling and maintenance management activities.
  • Perform Functional Reviewer responsibilities for Management of Change (MoC) processes.
  • Provide operational input into environmental and land disturbance activities.
  • Serve as the primary onsite interface between field operations and Perth-based support teams.
  • Support emergency response activities and Emergency Management Team requirements.
  • Assist with operational budgeting, resource planning and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Backfill Field Superintendent responsibilities when required

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Oil & gas operations, production or maintenance leadership experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Control of Work, PTW and operational risk management systems.
  • Experience supervising contractors and leading field-based teams.
  • Understanding of operational assurance, MoC and safety management processes.
  • Familiarity with CMMS, maintenance scheduling and work management systems.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Commitment to safety, environmental compliance and operational excellence.
