Introduction
Brunel is seeking a Night Drilling Completion Supervisor to work in a 2-year contract with one of our clients, a big player in the oil and gas industry. This position will work in a 28x28 days rotation (12 hours per day, 7 days per week), offshore in Suriname
What are you going to do
- Support drilling assets within the Drilling & Wells department, ensuring continuity of offshore supervision during night operations.
- Supervise the implementation of drilling programs and ensure operations comply with Company procedures, HSE, and environmental standards.
- Supervise service companies responsible for Fluids, Cement, and Waste Management services.
- Optimize rig equipment, processes, and operational performance in collaboration with contractors.
- Promote best practices to prevent major accidents, protect company assets, reduce Non-Productive Time (NPT), and improve drilling performance.
- Prepare and issue the Daily Drilling Report (DDR) and maintain accurate reporting through the WellView system.
- Monitor operational costs and maintain cost-tracking records.
- Anticipate operational challenges, equipment requirements, and potential issues, developing alternative strategies with the DCSSV.
- Ensure effective handover and continuity between night and day shifts.
- Document night-shift lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of drilling performance and team know-how.
- Ensure Company and Contractor HSE standards are understood, implemented, and consistently followed.
- Participate actively in safety awareness initiatives and promote a strong HSE culture offshore.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Technician or Engineering profile (Bachelor's degree of Engineering or equivalent).
- Experience in operational environment in drilling.
- Good knowledge of offshore and specifically deepwater environment.
