Introduction

As the Maintenance Superintendent at our clients operations, you will work on an 8:6 days-only roster, FIFO from Perth.

Working as part of the maintenance leadership team, you will be the conduit for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable functioning of equipment, with the prime objective of ensuring equipment availability targets are achieved.

What are you going to do 

  • Lead by example, promoting and managing work practices in accordance with established work rules, HSEQ legislation, standards, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe and compliant workplace.
  • Coordinate and supervise all maintenance activities across mobile and fixed mechanical equipment, ensuring the successful execution of planned repairs and effective responses to unplanned breakdowns.
  • Manage and coordinate contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders, monitoring quality, timelines, and contractor performance to ensure delivery meets operational requirements.
  • Conduct field risk assessments, support hazard identification and controls, and ensure full compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Support the procurement of materials, plant, and equipment to facilitate timely and cost-effective maintenance outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement in asset reliability and availability, ensuring maintenance strategies are aligned with production targets and operational demands.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • 7+ years' leadership experience in maintenance operations
  • Australian recognised Trades Certificate (Mobile Plant Mechanic or equivalent)
  • S26 Statutory Supervisor qualification - mandatory for this role
  • Carry Out the Risk Management Processes
  • Implement and monitor WHS policies, procedures and programs
  • Deep knowledge of the practical application of mechanical/electrical/heavy mobile equipment and safety legal requirements
  • Experience working at a mining/civil contractor is preferred
  • Ability to build trust, set standards and make clear decisions
  • Strong commercial acumen and budget management experience
  • Proven stakeholder management capability
  • Experience with Caterpillar, Hitachi and Komatsu equipment highly regarded
