Introduction
Mine Plan Engineer Superintendent to lead mine planning activities and support safe, efficient, and optimized mining operations in Sulawesi.
This is a key technical leadership position for a mining professional with strong nickel mining and mine planning experience.
What are you going to do
- Lead and supervise the Mine Planning team and ensure effective delivery of planning activities.
- Develop and manage short-, medium-, and long-term mine plans.
- Prepare mine schedules, production targets, and operational plans.
- Optimize mine design, mining sequences, production, and equipment utilization.
- Work closely with Geology, Mining Operations, Survey, and Technical Services teams.
- Monitor actual mining performance against plans and recommend corrective actions.
- Support production forecasting, resource optimization, and mine development strategies.
- Ensure mine plans comply with technical, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentoring to Mine Planning Engineers and the wider technical team.
Essential skills and knowledge
- Bachelor's degree in Mining Engineering or a related discipline.
- Strong and proven experience in Nickel Mining - mandatory.
- Significant experience in Mine Planning / Technical Services, preferably in an operating mine.
- Previous experience in a Superintendent or senior technical leadership role is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of mine planning, scheduling, pit design, production optimization, and mine development.
- Proficiency in relevant mine planning software.
- Good English communication skills, both written and spoken.
- Strong leadership, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Willingness to be based at the mine site in Sulawesi.
