Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and coordinate structural engineering activities for offshore projects.
- Identify project work scope and technical requirements.
- Participate in technical clarification meetings and prepare engineering proposals.
- Review and approve structural engineering documents and resolve client comments.
- Coordinate and manage structural technical issues throughout project execution.
- Prepare and review technical documents for material requisitions and procurement activities.
- Support bid evaluation, vendor drawing review, and FAT inspections.
- Prepare and review structural calculation reports and special engineering studies.
- Provide technical support during construction, including site coordination and engineering discussions.
- Liaise with internal disciplines, vendors, clients, and project stakeholders.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Project Manager and Department Manager.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Naval Architecture & Ocean Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 15 years of experience in offshore structural engineering design.
- Strong experience in offshore platforms, FPSO, and semi-submersible projects.
- Familiar with international offshore structural design standards such as API RP-2A and ISO 19901.
- Proficient in engineering software such as SACS and AutoCAD.
- Experience in structural engineering analysis and design for offshore facilities.
- Good understanding of offshore construction and fabrication support activities.
- Strong coordination and communication skills.
- Experience supporting procurement activities including technical bid evaluations and vendor coordination.
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary offshore project execution environments.
- Experience handling site technical support during offshore construction phases.
