Introduction

Managing the development of GIS, responsible for establishing robust GIS data management processes and workflows across EPC Contractor / COMPANY.

Responsible for ensuring efficient access to and the integrity of the GIS tools and manage Project data and perform database extraction regularly to make timely data updates.

Responsible for providing GIS consultancy / expertise / advise / training to departments and individuals.

Responsible for ensuring the accurate positioning of data in the GIS.

Provide technical consulting skills to support the growth of Enterprise Risk Management’s (ERM) service offerings using Environmental Systems Research Institute’s (ESRI) full suite of desk and cloud-based geospatial applications, especially including Server for ArcGIS and ArcGIS Online

Establish and maintain contacts with internal and external stakeholders, to provide information, garner acceptance and support of the project, and ensure that the project meets business needs.

Focus to ensure the design is safe, constructible and operable for personnel and processes.

Reviews the naming convention for GIS layers and tables included in the geodatabase developed by the EPCs Contractor and verify compliance with COMPANY standards and COMPANY objectives

Manage the Contractor in the timely delivery of quality detailed and as-built scope of work for pipelines, cables etc components

Verify compliance with Company requirements, standards, specifications and instructions.

What are you going to do 

  • Manage the Project GIS development scope as focal point and ensure all deliverables are met in respect to time, cost and performance to ensure project requirements are met in the design;
  • Support the development of a cohesive geospatial data strategy framework and integration of data from all COMPANY domains and maintaining a strong link with the relevant departments to ensure correct deployment of GIS projects and tools;
  • Work with other disciplines as required for the performance of pipeline designs, data integration and development of GIS deliverables; Ensure that all elements of pipelines Integrity data are captured and managed effectively to support the project an ongoing operational needs;
  • Provide constructability input into the field survey execution and coordinate with onshore and offshore construction/installation teams to ensure effective implementation of GIS database deliverables;
  • Support engineering aspects of the Risk Management Plan (including emergency response and business continuity) to ensure identified hazards/risks are mitigated and to maintain the expected level of quality and safety as defined in the Quality Assurance and Safety Management Plans;
  • Provide leadership and technical direction to EPC Contractor team members and monitor the deliverables of the technical team.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • 5 to 10 years experience with GIS in the wider Oil & Gas domain. knowledge of ESRI ArcGIS software platform and development concepts;
  • Administration of ArcGIS Desktop/Server/Enterprise, experienced user of Portal for ArcGIS to manage and share web services, SDE data management, Python, AutoCAD, with demonstrable understanding of geodesy, topographic, hydrographic and offshore construction methodologies and the associated geospatial data deliverables;
  • Basic knowledge of AutoCAD and integration with GIS;
  • A high level of proficiency in written and spoken English;
  • Good problem solving skills;
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Computer literacy involving the regular use of professional office applications and some technical applications.
