What are you going to do 

As an Insurance Repair Estimator, you will play a key role in assessing residential property damage, developing accurate scopes of work and estimates, and helping deliver successful insurance repair outcomes across the Brisbane region. You will work closely with insurers, assessors, trades, homeowners and internal project teams to ensure each repair is accurately scoped, commercially sound and delivered to a high standard, while providing exceptional customer service throughout the claims and repair journey.

  • Assess residential property damage and determine the required repair works.
  • Prepare accurate scopes of work and cost estimates for insurance claims.
  • Conduct site inspections and review reports, photos and claim documentation.
  • Liaise with insurers, assessors, trades, suppliers and homeowners.
  • Obtain and assess trade and supplier quotations where required.
  • Identify variations, additional works and potential cost impacts.
  • Ensure estimates meet insurance requirements, building standards and regulations.
  • Manage multiple claims while meeting turnaround times and deadlines.
  • Work closely with Project Managers and construction teams to ensure scope accuracy and a smooth transition from estimating to delivery.

Essential skills and knowledge

We are looking for an experienced and driven Insurance Repair Estimator with a strong understanding of residential construction and insurance repair processes.

  • Previous experience in residential insurance estimating, construction estimating or residential building.
  • Proven experience preparing accurate insurance repair estimates and scopes of work.
  • Strong knowledge of residential construction methods, materials and repair techniques.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation and time management skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple jobs and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • A current Australian Driver's Licence.
  • Trade or building qualifications are highly regarded.
