Introduction

On behalf of our client, a global Energy Company, we are seeking for an Infrastructure Engineer who will be a key contributor to their local PCN/OT support team, working on operational IT systems.

The Infrastructure Engineer will work closely with the key delivery teams focusing on operational and reliability requirements to assure safe, secure, and optimal running of the IT and PCN related infrastructure systems, aligning with the technical standards across Software, Security, Infrastructure, Network and Cloud technologies.

This is a Perth based position with occasional site visits required.

What are you going to do 

  • Deliver reliable and secure operations in IT and PCN/OT Systems while enabling digital capabilities, providing technical support, troubleshooting and fault rectification of technical issues
  • Execute site requests for IT and PCN Infrastructure support and develop new site capability requests working with platform teams.
  • Build relationships and partner with local, site based and international teams to provide robust and secure IT and PCN Operations.
  • Provide expertise in the governance, compliance and cyber security impacting our IT related PCN/OT assets.
  • Administer operational infrastructure and applications including trouble shooting, monitoring and inventory management.
  • Provide security compliance and design to ensure systems are compliant with relevant policies, standards, technical controls.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor Computer Science, Bachelor Information Technology, or engineering related degree or related qualifications or experience.
  • Demonstrate significant experience, technical depth, and functional knowledge in Infrastructure and Application administration
  • Familiarity with Active directory, Windows Server, Firewalls, VMWare ESX, Storage, ApplicationAdministration and Database Administration
  • Infrastructure and application security, monitoring, compliance, and operational support in large scale or Enterprise environments.
  • Ability to deal and communicate with different stakeholders, customer focus, and ability work with technical people.
  • Working knowledge of IT/OT industry best practices and cyber security trends (desirable)
  • Prior Oil & Gas experience, offshore and/or LNG experience (desirable)
  • Demonstrate knowledge of and experience working in mission-critical facilities or hazardous environments with an ability to adapt work to fit within constraints imposed by regulatory bodies as well as company work standards (desirable)
  • Experience in a support or design role focusing on process control and DMZ applications and infrastructure (desirable)
  • Working in an Agile delivery framework (desirable)
