What are you going to do 

My client is an MNC within the Shipping industry, centrally located within CBD.

The HR Manager would oversee the end-to-end employee lifecycle. Which includes onboarding, offboarding, and MOM compliance (including work pass applications), while driving process improvements across HR operations.

  • Onboarding & Offboarding: Own the new-hire and exit processes, from documentation and system access to exit interviews and final settlements.
  • Design, implement, and continuously improve the end-to-end onboarding experience, including offer letters, employment contracts, orientation programmes, and new hire documentation.
  • Coordinate with IT, Finance, and department heads to ensure new hires have the necessary equipment, system access, and resources on day one.
  • Manage the offboarding process, including exit interviews, final settlements,clearance procedures, and knowledge transfer coordination.
  • MOM Matters & Work Passes: Manage Employment Pass, Work Permit, and Dependant's Pass applications/renewals; advise on Employment Act, CPF, and levy matters; liaise with MOM on compliance and audits.
  • Advise management and employees on MOM-related policies, including the Employment Act, CPF contributions, foreign worker levies, and fair employment practices.
  • Monitor changes in MOM regulations and proactively update internal policies and stakeholders accordingly.
  • Process Improvement: Identify inefficiencies, build SOPs, and drive automation/digitalisation of HR workflows.
  • General HR Support: Ensure policy compliance, support audits, and advise employees/managers on HR operational matters.
  • Ensure HRpolicies and practices comply with local employment legislation and companypolicy.
  • Support internal and external audits related to HR operations and statutorycompliance.
  • Provide guidance to employees and managers on HR operational matters,policies, and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Solid working knowledge of the Employment Act, MOM regulations, CPF requirements, and workpass frameworks.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore employment law and MOM compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organisational skills with high attention to detail andaccuracy.
  • Process-oriented mindset with a track record of driving operational improvements.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to advise employees and leadership confidently on compliance matters.
