Introduction

  • Manage and oversee the construction activities performed by the contractor and sub-contractors, ensuring safe execution of the project within the approved project budget and schedule.
  • Drive construction readiness and execution to meet project objectives and support flawless facility start-up.

What are you going to do 

  • Promote and uphold safety, health, environmental and worker welfare standards across all construction execution activities, embedding a strong safety culture and ensuring visible demonstration of safety leadership.
  • Direct and coordinate site execution activities of the contractor and its subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project plans, interfaces, and reporting requirements of the Construction Area Manager.
  • Coordinate multidisciplinary teams including engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and operations.
  • Assess and approve construction methodologies, work packs, lifting plans, and site procedures.
  • Participate in all the workshops which are related to the construction (HAZOP, HAZID, Model Reviews, Constructability review, etc.).
  • Ensure timely completion of milestones and project deliverables.
  • Evaluate progress reports, manpower deployment, and productivity metrics
  • Oversee recovery planning and schedule optimization initiatives.
  • Facilitate effective communication with clients, consultants, contractors, and project teams.
  • Advise on site material handling, soil movement, soil disposal and warehousing procedures with respect to area to facilitate construction progress.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Bachelor's degree in Sciences or Engineering
  • Minimum of 10 years experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 2 years of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Good organizational, planning, communication, and execution skills.
  • Well-developed coordination and planning skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with internal and external organizations
