Essential skills and knowledge
- Diploma (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline from an internationally recognized institution.
- Graduate of The Institution of Fire Engineers (IFE) or equivalent.
- Qualified Fire Service Instructor (NFPA 1401 or equivalent certification).
- Minimum 12 years of experience in fire operations.
- At least 5 years of experience in a management or supervisory role (Station Officer or higher).
- Proven experience in fire training, preferably within oil, gas, or petrochemical industry emergency response.
- Strong knowledge of industrial firefighting systems, equipment, and emergency response strategies.
- Intermediate English proficiency (QP Level 6 or equivalent), both written and spoken.
- Ability to operate and instruct on a wide range of firefighting equipment and systems.
- Competency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong understanding of NFPA standards and emergency response frameworks.
- Valid driving license (Heavy Vehicle preferred).
- Strong leadership and management skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Effective communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to influence and lead teams in high-pressure environments.
- Well-organized with strong planning capabilities.
