Introduction

Our client is seeking an experienced S26 Electrical Generation Supervisor to lead a skilled team within large-scale power generation operations. This key leadership role will oversee electrical maintenance, statutory compliance and safe work execution across critical generation assets. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven supervisory experience and a commitment to safety, reliability, team development and operational excellence.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide effective supervision and direction to ensure the team successfully delivers the daily maintenance and operational schedule.
  • Conduct regular field leadership activities and maintain a strong visible presence across the work area.
  • Ensure all work is performed safely and in accordance with weekly plans, operational requirements and relevant procedures.
  • Coordinate electrical activities to minimise disruption to the supply of power to the transmission network.
  • Record field leadership interactions, workplace hazards and corrective actions within the applicable business management system.
  • Manage onsite contractors and ensure compliance with company requirements, industry standards and legislative obligations.
  • Monitor team performance against key performance indicators and SAP maintenance strategies.
  • Support effective work planning and maintenance execution to reduce unplanned and reactive maintenance.
  • Lead by example and ensure all work is completed safely, ethically and in compliance with applicable requirements.
  • Identify, manage and escalate workplace incidents within the required timeframes.
  • Review and sign off electrical installations completed by the team as part of the appointed nominee responsibilities.

Essential skills and knowledge

Qualifications and Experience

  • Electrical trade qualification and current WA Electrical Worker's Licence.
  • High Voltage Switching certification with relevant practical switching experience.
  • Current WA C-Class manual driver's licence.
  • Schedule 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification.
  • Minimum three years' experience working in an Electrical Supervisor position.
  • Certificate IV in Instrumentation with relevant industry experience.
  • Electrical Equipment in Hazardous Areas training and practical experience.
  • Previous experience within the power generation industry.
  • Strong understanding of work management processes, maintenance planning and operational practices.
  • Type B Gas Appliance qualification, including Supervising or Supervised Gas Fitter accreditation.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage employees and contractors in a high-risk operational environment.
