Introduction

Our client is seeking an experienced Electrical Commissioning Supervisor to lead HV systems completion, testing and energisation across major mining infrastructure projects. You will hold a current WA Electrical Licence and S26 Statutory Supervisor qualification, supported by proven HV commissioning experience. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to high profile projects in a fast paced environment.

What are you going to do 

Key Responsibilities

  • Promote safe work practices and environmental responsibility across all commissioning activities.
  • Provide statutory electrical supervision in line with Section 26 requirements and site procedures.
  • Supervise HV pre-commissioning, testing, commissioning and energisation activities.
  • Coordinate systems completion activities against project schedules, milestones and deliverables.
  • Support the commissioning of HV switchgear, transformers, protection systems and power distribution equipment.
  • Maintain system hierarchies, engineering data, check sheets, certificates and user permissions within the CMS.
  • Coordinate walkdowns, inspections, energisation notices and punch-list close-out.
  • Monitor commissioning progress and provide reports to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Liaise with project teams, contractors and vendors to resolve defects and commissioning constraints.
  • Coordinate contractor support, equipment hire and associated site logistics.
  • Ensure commissioning documentation is accurate, complete and audit-ready.

Essential skills and knowledge

Essential Requirements

  • Current Section 26 Statutory Supervisor qualification.
  • Current unrestricted WA Electrical Licence and HV Switching qualification.
  • Minimum three years' electrical commissioning, systems completion or supervisory experience.
  • Proven experience supervising HV installation, testing, commissioning and energisation.
  • Mining, resources, energy or heavy industry project experience.
  • Experience using a recognised Completions Management System.
  • Excellent communication, coordination and stakeholder-management abilities.

Highly Regarded

  • Omega PIMS superuser or administrator experience.
  • Commissioning experience with HV switchgear, transformers, protection relays and distribution systems.
  • Exposure to secondary injection, functional testing, phase rotation and energisation planning.
  • Experience supporting mining decarbonisation or electrical infrastructure projects.
