What are you going to do 

    • Creation and maintenance of parametrized 3D models and assemblies in CREO, ensuring compliance with technical and manufacturing requirements.
    • Preparation of manufacturing drawings in accordance with ISO GPS standards and support of complete and accurate technical documentation.
    • Selection, sizing, and specification of machine elements and mechanical components for demanding engineering applications.
    • Management of technical documentation, design data, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering changes throughout the product lifecycle.
    • Close collaboration with cross-functional teams across engineering, manufacturing, and quality to ensure successful project execution.
    • Support the optimization and continuous improvement of technical solutions with regard to functionality, quality, and manufacturability.
    • Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and the implementation of engineering changes during ongoing project activities.
    • Support prototype development and validation activities through to production handover and implementation.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Completed degree in Mechanical Engineering (HF, FH, ETH or equivalent) or vocational qualification as a Mechanical Designer / Design Engineer

  • Several years of experience in mechanical design and product development
  • Solid experience in parametric 3D modeling and assembly design
  • Proven experience in creating manufacturing drawings according to ISO GPS standards
  • Knowledge of technical documentation, as well as the selection and sizing of mechanical components and machine elements
  • Strong proficiency in CREO, ideally CREO 10
  • Experience with SAP is considered an advantage
  • Knowledge of CATIA V5 is a plus
  • Experience in designing cleanroom-compatible components for the semiconductor industry or related sectors such as medical devices or aerospace is desirable
  • Structured, precise, and independent way of working
