Introduction

  • The Construction Lead shall provide the technical and construction expertise for Train 4&6 Project which involves contractor coordination and supervision to manage work fronts and ensure compliance with the approved construction sequence, project requirements, safety, quality, schedule, and Company specifications.

What are you going to do 

  • The Construction Superintendent will interact daily with construction team and have the ability to communicate daily plans with the contractor team and have sound capabilities working in the permit to work procedure to identify and mitigation safety risks to provide safe work fronts.
  • Validate and uphold safety, health, environmental and worker welfare standards across all construction execution activities, embedding a strong safety culture and ensuring visible demonstration of safety leadership.
  • Coordinate and supervise field execution activities of the EPC contractor and its subcontractors, ensuring alignment with project plans, interfaces, and reporting requirements of the Construction Area Manager.
  • Supervise and ensure a strong understanding of the values of permits to work and task specific mitigation planning for mechanical scopes of work.
  • Lead and approve construction methodologies, work packs, material take-off quantities, and site procedures to make sure work fronts are properly resourced.
  • Coordinate and participate, as required, in the workshops which are related to the construction risk assessments and constructability reviews.
  • Ensure timely completion of milestones and project deliverables.
  • Review progress reports, manpower deployment, and productivity metrics.
  • Assure effective communication with OPCO, contractors, and project teams.
  • Monitor and standardize site material handling, laydown yards, and equipment inspections with respect to area to facilitate construction progress.
  • Review of contractors daily, weekly and monthly reports analyzing performance and verifying progress and status.

Essential skills and knowledge

  • Diploma and discipline/trade specific vocational certification
  • Minimum of 8 years' experience with Large Projects in Construction related disciplines (e.g., construction, installation, fabrication, execution, completion, hook-up, etc.) in the Oil & Gas Industry, including 1 year of experience in a supervisory role, including acting roles, or oversight of service/vendor personnel.
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, Adobe, PowerPoint and Outlook
  • Good organizational, planning, communication, and execution skills.
  • Well-developed coordination and planning skills.
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with several organizational levels
