What are you going to do
Participate in reviewing FEED and Detailed design drawings, method statements, JHA, risk assessment, HAZOP, Constructability etc;
Supervise and approve construction activities and co-ordinate various aspects of project construction including material, work and testing inspections in fabrication yard, material submissions and working drawings from contractor and processing documentation as required.
Lead a team of Construction Supervisors providing constructability related direction, guidance and advice;
Maintain a daily record of progress noting special comments. Reports to Construction, Head the anomalies or contractual deviations committed by contractor personnel and recommend corrective actions;
Monitor and control of QP work permits to ensure that contractor compliance with conditions fixed on consolidated work permits;
Assist in offshore mobilization and demobilization of Contractor personnel, equipment and logistics involving Contractors, Sub-contractors and Vendors;
Participate and give input on constructability during feasibility and design stage when requested;
Randomly inspect construction works and materials in accordance with Work Plans and Inspection Test Plans;
Co-ordinate, liaise and follow up with relevant parties to resolve complex site issues and raise technical queries for required modifications, as necessary;
Proactive with safety while performing site construction activities in live plant and ensure site compliance with statutory safety and environmental regulations;
Proactive with simultaneous operation & construction works in live plants by understanding the End User’s constraints/concerns and hence minimizing effects on the project schedule and cost;
Review and forward to Construction, Head the daily and weekly construction progress reports for assigned projects and verify contractor’s progress statements for accuracy.
Essential skills and knowledge
B.Sc. in an Engineering Discipline or Diploma with extensive construction management experience both onshore and offshore;l
Candidate should have minimum 15 years of multi-discipline experience (FEED & EPIC) in supervising fabrication and installation of oil and gas platforms, Jackets, Brownfield modification in live platform including material inspection, review and approval of construction method statements, drawings and load-out activities etc;
The candidate shall have adequate experience in executing offshore Brownfield modification projects with multi-discipline experience in shut-down management;
Computer literate with excellent command of English Language (oral and written);
Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness;
Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and drawings;
Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions;
Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce.
