Brunel Energy is looking for a Coastal Manager to
join our team in UAE. We are a leading provider of Engineering and Technical
services to the Oil and Gas Industry.
What are you going to do
Functionally reports to Engineering Director;
Operationally reports to Engineering Director;
Supervises - Lead Coastal Engineer and Senior Coastal Engineer;
Manage all Coastal Engineering Design works for tenders and projects;
Manage and organise all coastal modelling works/data;
Responsible for the Coastal Department deliverables;
Manage the design and evaluation of tender proposal and/or project design;
Review and ensure appropriate resource and costs utilization by consultants;
Ensure the optimisation of all research and development activities related to coastal engineering;
Supervise and review the coastal engineering design deliverables within deadline and budget available;
Ensure that advanced tools, technologies and techniques are implemented for coastal section and plans enhancements of capabilities through internal/external training;
Ensure high quality of deliverables, meeting safety and environmental standards;
Monitor all project deliverables and participate in all project plans and facilitate to develop effective project schedules;
Monitor coastal shoreline restoration processes and associate mitigation measures;
Analyse projects and develop all budgets and schedule for coastal projects;
Supervise and provides support to emergency activities in coastal regions;
Understand of interdisciplinary coastal engineering functions and modelling;
This is a generalist view — at times tasks can be requested to be done above/beyond the scope of this role due to Operational and Company requirements.
Essential skills and knowledge
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Preferably Civil, Structural, Coastal), or equivalent;
Minimum 12 years' experience of Engineering & Design, in related industries;
Knowledge of coastal engineering design for structures including design of breakwaters, revetments, seawalls and scour protections systems including specifications;
Knowledge of international codes and standards for coastal engineering and coastal structures;
