Introduction

What are you going to do 

The Boilerman is responsible for the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of boilers and utility systems supporting grease manufacturing and plant operations. The role ensures uninterrupted supply of steam, water, compressed air, and other utilities required for production while maintaining compliance with safety, quality, and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor boilers, steam systems, water treatment plants, air compressors, cooling towers, pumps, and related utility equipment.
  • Perform routine inspections, equipment checks, and operational adjustments to ensure reliable utility supply.
  • Monitor and record operating parameters, utility consumption, and equipment performance.
  • Carry out basic troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and housekeeping activities.
  • Support grease manufacturing operations by ensuring uninterrupted utility services.
  • Comply with safety, environmental, and permit-to-work requirements.
  • Report equipment abnormalities, incidents, and operational deviations promptly.
  • NITEC/Higher NITEC, Technical Certificate, or equivalent in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Valid Singapore-recognized Boiler Attendant / Boilerman Certificate.
  • Minimum 3 years' experience operating industrial boilers and utility systems in a manufacturing, chemical, lubricant, or petrochemical environment.
  • Knowledge of steam generation, water treatment, compressors, and utility operations.
  • Basic troubleshooting skills with a strong focus on safety and operational discipline.
  • Able to work rotating 12-hour shifts.
