About this role

Our Oil & Energy client based in The Woodlands, TX is looking for a Project Controls/Services Specialist with cost, planning, and scheduling experience working on IT projects in the Oil & Gas industry using Agile methodologies. They have an IT initiative that is a high priority at the moment and are in need of a turnkey resource.

Requirements

Qualifications:* Five (5) or more years of relevant work experience with IT projects in upstream or midstream sectors; other industrial construction acceptable.
* Proficient with project management software applications, Ares Prism and SAP preferred but not required, Primavera P6 required.* Experience using Agile methodologies
* Desire to drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of effective cost control and scheduling programs.* A fundamental knowledge of production, compression, pumping, treating, processing, and produced water disposal facilities and pipeline infrastructure is preferred.
* Understanding of industry safety principles and their application at a construction location.* Ability to prepare work breakdown and cost breakdown structures based on project scope, in conjunction with the Project Manager.
* Competency in earned value management.* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment requiring strong work ethics.
* Ability to communicate analysis findings and required recovery plan activities to management through concise written reports and clear verbal/visual presentations.
